🔐 Vehicle Security Reminder - Motor Bike thefts There have been a number of reports for Motor bike thefts in FOLKESTONE. I have listed below some safety advice to consider. Motorcycle theft remains a common crime, but there are several steps riders can take to reduce the risk: Always lock your motorcycle, even if leaving it unattended for a short period.Use a high-quality chain and padlock secured to a fixed object where possible.Fit additional security devices such as a disc lock, alarm, immobiliser, or tracking device.Park in well-lit, busy locations covered by CCTV where available. At home, store motorcycles in a locked garage or secure compound and consider ground anchors for added security.Avoid leaving keys unattended and never leave the engine running while away from the bike.Consider using a motorcycle cover, as it can make the bike less attractive to thieves.Record important details, including the registration number, VIN/chassis number, and photographs of the motorcycle.Try make note of anything particularly distinguishing about your bike such as paint patterns or even specific damage/marks If you see suspicious activity around motorcycles, report it to police immediately. In an emergency or if a theft is in progress, call 999. Taking multiple layers of security significantly reduces the chances of a motorcycle being targeted by thieves. Thank you PC 15003 ALLEN
